International insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired a Flemington-based insurance agency.

Franklin-Case Agency’s L. Kipp Case, Anthony “Butch” Franklin and their associates will move from Flemington in Hunterdon County to Gallagher’s Whippany, Morris County, office.

Franklin-Case is a full-service property/casualty insurance agency offering commercial and personal coverage to clients throughout metropolitan New York and New Jersey.

“With its focus on transportation business and risk management accounts, Franklin-Case will be an outstanding complement to Gallagher,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, CEO and president. “We are excited to welcome Kipp, Butch and their associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals.”

The group will work under Daniel Tropp, head of Gallagher’s Mid-Atlantic retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

Illinois-based Gallagher & Co. has operations in 34 countries and offers client service capabilities in more than 150 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
