UnitedHealthcare has named a new head of its Medicaid division, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Jersey.

Jocelyn Chisholm Carter, who has been with the company for 13 years and most recently served as the CEO of the Community Plan of Mississippi, is the new CEO of the division, effective Oct. 1

She managed both the children’s health insurance and Medicaid programs in Mississippi, which served more than 260,000 members, and is credited with launching the award-winning Farm to Form program.

The program has delivered more than 60 tons of food to more than 16,000 Community Plan members, UHC said in a statement.
