Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp, announced it has promoted Robert J. Bardusch to executive vice president, chief operating officer.
Bardusch joined Wayne-based Valley in 2016 and has more than two decades of financial leadership experience. Before the promotion, he was executive vice president and chief information officer at Valley.
As COO, he will be responsible for integrating platforms, improving service delivery and efficiency, and development innovative solutions to support the bank. He will also continue to lead the bank’s digital transformation projects.
“Bob has been an invaluable member of our executive leadership team since joining the bank,” said Ira Robbins, Valley National Bank CEO and president. “One of our strategic goals is to accelerate the bank’s digital transformation, which will lead to significant improvements in efficiency, service and profitability for years to come. Bob will continue to lead these efforts as we seek to drive growth during a period of historic change at Valley.”
