Balloon festival names new corporate partnership team

The QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning announced recently it has hired Tom Bergstrand as vice president of corporate partnerships.

Bergstrand joins Randy Lauwasser, director of corporate development, to spearhead the festival’s corporate marketing, sponsorship and partnership efforts.

The QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in association with PNC Bank is the largest hot air balloon and music festival in North America, it said. It features 100 sport and special shaped balloons from around the world, and hosts a live concert series.

The event annually brings in 165,000 attendees, which makes it a desired destination among marketers, it said.

Bergstrand, who has extensive experience in partnership sales, was previously at Winnercomm. Prior to the Festival Group, Lauwasser was vice president of corporate sales and sponsorship at StarGames.

The 36th annual festival will be held from July 27-29 at the Solberg Airport in Readington.
