Leasing has begun at One Theater Square, the luxury high-rise planned for downtown Newark, according to developer Dranoff Properties Inc.

Apartments will be available starting July 16, according to a news release.

Those interested in the 22-story property at 2 Center St. across from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Military Park can view three model apartments and the building lobby. When complete, the building will have 245 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments renting from $1,775 to $4,100 a month.

“With everything for life, work and play just steps away, One Theater Square embodies a bold, new vision of downtown Newark,” Carl Dranoff, CEO of Dranoff Properties, said in a prepared statement.

Amenities include a 24-hour concierge, club room, fitness center, outdoor entertainment space and 285-car garage. The property will offer 12,000 square feet of ground-level retail.

“One Theater Square’s mix of market-rate and affordable units provides a fair opportunity for all Newark residents who wish to make this remarkable building their new home,” NJPAC CEO and President John Schreiber said in a statement

The property will offer 24 affordable housing units to income-qualifying candidates, with rents for studios and one-bedrooms ranging from $738 to $771 monthly. Click here for more information.
