Bayer has named a former Procter & Gamble executive as its new regional president, consumer health, North America, it announced Thursday.

Patrick Lockwood-Taylor, who most recently was CEO of The Oneida Group, will assume his new role Monday. The 25-year veteran of the consumer industry was a vice president with P&G before joining Oneida.

“Patrick has a passion for innovation and an understanding of how to meet the needs of consumers and customers to accelerate growth,” Heiko Schipper, president of consumer health, said in a prepared statement. “His diverse experience, proven track record of collaborating with retail partners and leadership in times of change make him ideally suited to lead our important North American business in a time of unprecedented industry change.”

Lockwood-Taylor will be based in Bayer’s U.S. offices in Whippany. He succeeds Natalie Bartner, and will report directly to Schipper.
