KRE Group cuts ribbon on 397-unit Jersey City apartment property

A new rental building in Jersey City celebrated its grand opening, bringing 397 apartments to the Hamilton Park area.

The Kushner Real Estate Group said 485 Marin, as the property is known, will abut a new public park that will provide green space for residents and neighbors to enjoy.

The property, formally at 485 Marin Blvd., is 70 percent leased, KRE Group said.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the residents of 485 Marin to their new home,” Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group, said in a prepared statement. “The building offers spacious homes with desirable layouts and high-quality finishes, along with a collection of modern amenities, creating a unique residential experience in one of Jersey City’s most desirable neighborhoods.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday was attended by Mayor Steven Fulop and other officials.

“This is a unique rental development that will be home to Jersey City’s newest public park, Marin Green,” Fulop said in a statement. “We continue to strive to meet the needs of Jersey City’s neighborhoods by working with developers to offer various options for new and current residents as we look to improve communities with new amenities such as parks, retail space and affordable housing.”

The property is a collaboration with the architectural firm Hollwich Kushner and interior designer Christopher Stevens, KRE Group said. Higgins Stieve Architects is architect of record.

The 18-story red brick building offers apartments ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, starting at $2,435 a month. Amenities include a fitness center, private dining room and screening room, as well as a swimming pool and more.
