net2phone acquires Canadian SaaS provider Versature

Newark-based net2phone, a provider of communication services and a subsidiary of IDT Corp., announced it has acquired Versature.

Versature is an SaaS-based business communications solutions and hosted VoIP provider serving the Canadian market.

“This transaction will accelerate Versature’s growth trajectory in Canada through a powerful alignment of values and innovative technology for voice and call analytics combined with greater access to capital,” Jonathon Moody, Versature president and chief operating officer, said. “As a result, Versature will scale Canadian operations by attracting top talent while continuing to innovate and aggressively pursue opportunities in the Canadian market.”

When the deal is finalized, Versature plans to expand more in Canada through investing in partner and direct channels, recruiting talent and developing more innovative communications technology solutions.

With the acquisition of Versature, net2phone now operates in the U.S., Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Hong Kong, Spain and Canada.
