3PL company signs for 171K sq.ft. in Hillsborough

Barrett Distribution Centers, a third-party logistics and omnichannel distribution company, has leased more than 171,000 square feet of industrial space in Hillsborough, according to real estate firm CBRE.

Massachusetts-based Barrett signed for 171,560 square feet at Midpoint Logistics Center, 152 Route 206, CBRE said. The new, 750,000-square-foot property was developed by Industrial Realty Group, based in Los Angeles.

CBRE’s team of Ben Shapiro, Mindy Lissner, William Waxman, Steven Beyda, Kevin Dudley, Robert Pine and David Gheriani served as exclusive leasing agent for the property, representing IRG in the negotiations.

Chris Hile of JLL represented Barrett.

“Barrett is one of the largest family-owned logistics and distribution companies in the country, with facilities from coast to coast, and is a great addition to the newly developed Midpoint Logistics Center,” Shapiro said in a prepared statement. “This strategically located building is ideal for major users looking for quality industrial space at the epicenter of two major consumer markets.”

Midpoint Logistics Center is a 165-acre property being developed in two phases near Interstate 78.
