Northfield Bank has named a new executive vice president and chief administrative officer, the Woodbridge-based bank said recently.
In her new positions, Tara French will be responsible for overseeing corporate governance, strategic planning and risk management for the subsidiary of Northfield Bancorp Inc. She joins the bank Sept. 18.
“We are very pleased to welcome Tara to Northfield,” President and Chief Operating Officer Steven M. Klein said in a prepared statement. “Tara’s deep knowledge and experience of banking operations, risk management and regulatory oversight will be invaluable as we move ahead with our strategic objectives. Our executive team looks forward to working closely with Tara, utilizing her leadership, insights and technical disciplines to further complement our high-performing executive group.”
French has more than 30 years of banking and regulatory experience, including working with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s Midsize Bank Supervision Unit.
She will be based in Northfield’s Woodbridge operations center.
