New Jersey’s food and beverage industry is growing by leaps and bounds, and the law firm Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC is the latest business to get involved, forming a specialty Food & Beverage Group aimed at providing counsel to companies within the industry.
West Orange-based CSG, one of the 10 largest law firms in the state, said in a news release recently that the group will be comprised of attorneys with experience in a variety of related specialties, including corporate, litigation, intellectual property, employment, product liability, real estate, liquor licensing and environmental law.
“In today’s market, food and beverage companies have more legal needs than ever,” Edward Stevenson, co-chair of CSG’s Corporate & Securities Group and a member of the new group, said in a prepared statement. “Whether navigating a complex merger or trademarking a menu, our clients have access to a diverse range of legal resources tailored specifically to the complexities of their industry.”
CSG said the group’s clients already include manufacturers, processors, importers and distributors. The formation of the group is the latest in a series of industry-specific additions, CSG added, following the creation of a Hedge Fund Group earlier this year and an Equipment Leasing Group in 2016.
