Englewood Hospital and Medical Center has named a chief information officer as it transitions to a state-of-the-art, integrated electronic medical record system, it announced recently.
The Englewood hospital said in a news release that Ravikanth “Ravi” Koganti will serve as vice president of information technology and CIO. He most recently served as a corporate direction of information systems at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and has worked in the health care technology industry since 2004.
The hospital is moving to a medical record system called Epic, and expects Koganti to help lead the way.
“We are delighted to welcome Ravi and eagerly look forward to his invaluable guidance and leadership on our Epic implementation and all IT-related activities,” Warren Geller, Englewood’s CEO and president, said in a prepared statement.
Koganti will also help support business and clinical initiatives, as well as the system’s continued growth.
