United adds nonstops from Newark to two more European destinations

NEWARK, USA - MAY 5, 2016: United airplanes on Newark Liberty international airport

United Airlines announced Wednesday it has added two new seasonal nonstop flights, from Newark Liberty International Airport to Porto, Portugal, and Reykjavik, Iceland.

The flights will begin next May and continue through October.

The nonstop to Porto, Portugal, will depart Newark at 9:45 p.m., landing at 9:50 a.m. the following day. The return flight will leave Porto at 12:35 p.m., arriving in Newark at 1:35 p.m.

The nonstop to Reykjavik, Iceland, will depart Newark at 10:30 p.m., arriving at 8:10 a.m. the following day. The return will leave Reykjavik at 11:55 a.m., arriving in Newark at 2:05 p.m.

The flights are on sale.

“As we continue growing our global route network, we are offering more choice and convenience to travel internationally, something our customers have told us they want,” Patrick Quayle, United’s vice president of International Network, said.
