ASA Apple Inc., a transportation and logistics firm, has leased more than 180,000 square feet of industrial space in Linden, according to real estate services firm Colliers International NJ LLC Inc.
Colliers said Wednesday in a news release that ASA Apple, which is based in Carteret and serves the Port of New York and New Jersey region, has made a long-term commitment for 181,000 square feet at 55 Wildcat Drive. The lease represents an expansion of the company’s regional distribution operations.
Colliers’ Richard Mirliss, Richard J. Madison and Alex Vitro represented the tenant in the search and negotiation. CBRE’s Tom Monahan represented the landlord, Prologis.
“Our client needed a New Jersey Turnpike-accessible location proximate to its other facilities in and around the Port Newark-Elizabeth area,” Mirliss said in a prepared statement. “This property fulfilled its geographic requirements, along with above-standard trailer parking, which was another prerequisite.
“It is becoming more challenging to find product that satisfies specific tenant needs at acceptable financial terms. Prologis was responsive and accommodating, and this building offers modern, quality construction — making it a great fit for ASA Apple.”
ASA Apple specializes in overseas traffic coordination and end-to-end process management.
