Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC, a subsidiary of Madison-based Realogy Holdings Corp., announced Wednesday that it has named a veteran real estate professional as its new chief operating officer.
Julie Leonhardt LaTorre, who has nearly 15 years of experience in the industry, will be responsible for overseeing the Sotheby’s brand’s global servicing and operations functions, the firm said in a news release.
“Julie Leonhardt LaTorre has an extensive real estate background, having worked across various sectors of the industry,” Philip White, Sotheby’s CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “Her keen understanding of an affiliate-based business model, coupled with her global business acumen perfectly positions her to take on this role within the Sotheby’s International Realty brand.”
Before joining Sotheby’s, LaTorre was senior vice president of affiliate services and head of operations for the EMERIA region for Christie’s International Real Estate. She has also worked as a commercial real estate finance attorney.
“The Sotheby’s International Realty brand’s global strength and its innovative marketing platforms make it one of the most discerning luxury brands in the world,” she said in a statement. “I am thrilled to be joining the brand and look forward to working with the team to continue to grow the business globally, expand top-notch service initiatives and develop business-changing tools for affiliates to better serve their clientele.”
