Malvern FSB names N.J. lawyer as SVP, general counsel

A New Jersey attorney has been appointed senior vice president and general counsel for Malvern Federal Savings Bank.

Rona E. Korman previously served as general counsel and chief risk officer of Center Bancorp Inc.

She brings a wide range of experience in corporate and banking law, lending, workout and corporate governance, parent company Malvern Bancorp Inc. said in a statement.

“Ms. Korman has a strong background on all legal affairs, including real estate, corporate, employment, insurance, construction, advertising and litigation,” said CEO and President Anthony C. Weagley. “We are thrilled to bring her on to our team at this time. She has been providing legal expertise to Malvern over the last several years and is already familiar with our organization and many of our team members.”

She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark.

Malvern’s New Jersey regional headquarters is in Morristown.
