A spokesman for Kushner Cos. confirmed the real estate firm has purchased a Long Branch beachfront motel next to its Pier Village complex.
A report on APP.com this week said the company bought the Ocean Court by the Sea motel at 170 Ocean Ave. for an undisclosed amount.
The report said Kushner Cos. and partner Extell Development Co. are planning a hotel and condo units, among other development, as part of the $283 million third and final phase of the multipurpose complex.
The recent purchase of the nearly 60-year-old motel is related to the development plans, but the Kushner spokesman declined to give specifics.
