The Rutgers Industrial Center is getting a new tenant.
Apogee NY LLC has signed a 77,000-square-foot commitment at 271 Circle Drive N. at the center in Piscataway.
North Plainfield’s Levin Management Corp. serves as asset manager for the five-building, 535,000-square-foot industrial/warehouse complex, and orchestrated the lease.
Operating as Unique Thrift Stores, the company’s sustained retail business growth prompted its need for additional, well-located distribution space, Levin Executive Vice President Robert Carson said.
The new location will serve its stores in the region.
“271 Circle Drive North’s prime location, providing access to a superior regional transportation network, made it particularly attractive to this tenant,” Carson said.
The center is in the heart of Middlesex County, easily accessible to Interstate 287 and just five miles from Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike. Newark Liberty International Airport, New York City and New Jersey seaports all are nearby.
