State added 6,500 jobs in October, ADP reports

New Jersey added 6,500 private sector jobs during October, according to the ADP Regional Employment Report.

The Roseland-based company releases monthly reports on regional and state non-farm private employment in collaboration with Moody’s Analytics Inc.

The service sector saw the biggest jump with 4,800 new jobs, following by the goods-producing sector, which increased by 1,700 positions.

The biggest industry jump was professional and business services, which accounted for nearly half of the new jobs, at about 3,200.
