Comar has acquired Shore Plastic Technologies Inc., based in Millville.
The Voorhees plastics manufacturer is adding Shore Plastic to enhance the company’s design and engineering capabilities to better serve customers in the medical device, diagnostic, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods market segments, according to a release.
Shore Plastic specializes in project management services encompassing product design and development, injection mold design, project engineering and mold and process validation.
“Our team looks forward to joining Comar as it continues to build out its Innovation Design Center and IDworks team,” said Shore President Richard Lappine. “We share a common, customer-centric philosophy and can now offer our customer base full-service capabilities that extend to complete supply chain solutions, including manufacturing, assembly, and distribution.”
Comar has seven strategic manufacturing and distribution locations and employs a host of rigid plastic packaging technologies, including injection molding, injection blow molding, injection stretch blow molding and extrusion blow molding.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Rick and his team to the Comar organization,” Comar CEO Mike Ruggieri said. “They have excellent customer relationships and strategic assets and capabilities that will enable us to better serve existing and potential customers.”
