Somerset Development hires attorney as operations chief

Somerset Development, the Holmdel-based real estate company known for its Bell Works project, among others, has added a director of operations to oversee its initiatives.

Attorney Robert Feinberg, a veteran of the real estate industry, will handle Somerset Developmentā€™s many residential and mix-used projects, including Bell Works, the firm said in a news release Monday. Feinberg is tasked with, among other things, streamlining project efficiency and serving as a liaison between external partners and the Somerset executive team led by President Ralph Zucker.

ā€œAs Somerset continues to cultivate and advance current projects, weā€™re also seeking new opportunities, and look to the future with excitement and confidence, knowing the team weā€™re building shares our motivation to exceed even the loftiest expectations,ā€ Zucker said in a prepared statement. ā€œWe welcome Robertā€™s esteemed experience, energy and fresh perspective, and look forward to the positive impact he will bring to all our endeavors.ā€

Feinberg had been a partner with Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, a Middletown-based law firm. He holds degrees in finance and law, and specialized in real estate in his practice, working with developers, tenants, contractors, property managers and others, Somerset said.

ā€œItā€™s an exciting time to join the Somerset Development team, and Iā€™m especially thrilled to have the opportunity to join a company that has truly pushed the limits of what was thought possible in the realm of commercial real estate development,ā€ he said in a statement. ā€œFrom the transformation at Bell Works to a host of similarly ambitious redevelopment initiatives, Iā€™m excited to help lead Somersetā€™s efforts to rethink the ways in which we work, live and interact.ā€
