Friedman LLP, a New York accounting and advisory firm with a major New Jersey presence, has announced the creation of a cybersecurity consulting business, Friedman CyZen LLC.
The wholly owned subsidiary intends to deliver multifaceted services to a range of public and private businesses, from small to large, including customized solutions geared to individual organizations.
Jacob Lehmann, a managing director with the firm, will lead the new practice group. He has more than a decade of experience working in the cybersecurity arena.
“It’s not only multimillion-dollar conglomerates that are victims of cyberattacks,” he said in a prepared statement. “Targeted attacks on small to medium-sized businesses are on the rise, and encompassed 40 percent of all breaches during the last two years. Friedman CyZen’s vision is to create a platform that equips clients with the knowledge and resources they need to combat attacks.”
William Mendez will serve as a director of the new business, working alongside Lehmann.
“Friedman CyZen aligns with our core mission by providing services across a full range of areas that are critical to our clients’ financial success and well-being,” Harriet Greenberg, Friedman LLP’s co-managing partner, said in a statement. “Our current and future clients will benefit from CyZen’s deep cybersecurity expertise, while also having access to the extensive resources of Friedman.”
