Endoscopy solutions company PENTAX Medical has named a CEO and president of its Americas region, it announced Thursday.
David Woods, the Montvale-based company’s current global chief marketing officer, will now lead PENTAX Medical of the Americas, according to a news release.
In his new role, he will provide leadership and direction for the company’s Pan-American operating units, while remaining in his global strategy role. He will report to Gerald W. Bottero, president of PENTAX Medical.
“I have personally witnessed David’s vision, passion and energy, and I am very excited about our future as we enter the new year,” Bottero said in a prepared statement. “During his nearly two decades at PENTAX Medical, David has assembled an impressive track record of strategic and commercial accomplishments. He is a respected leader who combines passion and commitment with extensive industry experience, and I am certain he will be instrumental in driving the next era of growth, operational excellence and customer satisfaction at PENTAX Medical.”
Woods has more than 20 years’ experience in health care, and joined PENTAX in 1998. He became president of the Americas region in 2004, serving in the role for more than 10 years, before his promotion to global CMO.
“I am honored to be taking on the role of president and CEO of the Americas,” he said in a statement. “Our product development strategy, encompassing internal development and acquisitions, will help PENTAX Medical deliver value to our customers based on their input and concern for their patients.”
