Mistras Group announces hiring of new financial chief

Princeton Junction-based Mistras Group Inc. has named a chief financial officer, it announced Monday.

Edward J. Prajzner started as senior vice president and CFO for the asset protection solutions business, effective Friday, it announced in a news release. Prajzner had been CFO for CECO Environmental Corp., a Texas-based provider of environmental and energy services to filtration industries.

“We are pleased to have Ed join the Mistras team,” CEO and President Dennis M. Bertolotti said in a prepared statement. “He brings us extensive experience as a senior financial officer who helps drive effective accounting and internal control disciplines. We look forward to leveraging his expertise, which includes a strong track record in managing the balance sheet and investor relations.”

Prajzner takes over as CFO for Jon Wolk, who had served in the dual roles of chief operating officer and acting CFO for several months, Bertolotti said.

Prajzner, a Certified Public Accountant, has also held senior finance roles with CDI Corp., now AE Industrial Partners, and American Infrastructure, now Allan Myers.
