Camden Coalition names Noonan its new CEO

The Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers has hired a new CEO to fill the void left by founder and former CEO Jeffrey Brenner.

Kathleen Noonan, the co-founder of PolicyLab, a research center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, will begin in the role next month.

“What attracted me to the Camden Coalition was the chance to work in a coalition of local partners who seek to better understand and address the complex needs of the most vulnerable members of our communities and to share what we learn with organizations nationwide,” Noonan said in a statement Thursday. “At PolicyLab, we looked for — and developed — evidence-based solutions to real health policy problems. There’s a strong parallel to what the Camden Coalition has been doing for 15 years.”

Brenner, who founded the coalition in 2002, left last year to join UnitedHealthcare.

“Kathleen emerged as the search committee’s unanimous choice,” said Joan Gray, chair of the Camden Coalition board of directors and assistant vice president for ambulatory services at Virtua Health in Camden. “Kathleen has worked closely with the Coalition, helping to refine the organization’s clinical care model and quality improvement projects in her role at PolicyLab. We are confident that her expertise will guide the Coalition smoothly into its next chapter and we extend our warmest welcome.”
