Holmdel-based Hylan, a communications engineering and construction services company, has acquired a project management firm in order to expand its outside plant design and engineering capabilities, it announced recently.
The deal for Dallas-based Arcturus Telecom LLC bolsters Hylan’s capabilities in network survey, design, permitting, drafting, project management and consulting services in support of outside and inside plant telecommunications projects, according to a news release.
“We fully believe in the strong demand trends that are driving fiber deployment across the United States,” Hylan CEO Robert DiLeo said in a prepared statement. “Arcturus well-positions Hylan to provide engineering and design services to such projects throughout the country. We welcome Scott and Stephen Shafer and the rest of the Arcturus team to Hylan.”
Arcturus’ co-founders, Scott Shafer and Stephen Shafer, will remain with the business as president and chief technology officer, respectively.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
