HLC LLC, a provider of information security assessments and other cybersecurity solutions, announced it has acquired Control Catalyst, an information security technology company.
The acquisition, HLC said, will help strengthen its solutions platform. Also, Helica Inc., an HLC company, will use the new technologies to build a next generation security monitoring and governance solution.
“Our clients face growing threats and pressure from regulatory agencies and increased risk in data security and privacy as the use of remote access and cloud applications continues to grow. Enhancing our existing platform with Control Catalyst technology will enable our clients to better manage their cybersecurity program and implement stronger cybersecurity controls in a way that is customized to their unique needs,” said Eric Hess, managing director of HLC. “We are also excited to have Anant Naganathan join our leadership team to head security, compliance and product management going forward.”
“Control Catalyst is excited about the opportunity to partner with HLC and leverage their deep, practical expertise to guide the development of our product offering,” said Bill Wilson, CEO of Control Catalyst. “Anant and our team have built high quality information security audit and monitoring tools. This acquisition will enable the great teams of Control Catalyst and HLC to carry that work forward.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The deal will allow clients to access automated tools to manage security controls, verify basic security controls of third party providers and audit, track and manage risk.
“We are proud of our proven track record of providing a high level of service to our clients. We look forward to continuing to grow our service and product offerings to deliver the flexible and effective solutions that our clients have grown to appreciate,” Hess said.
