Somerset-based drug delivery technology company Catalent Pharma Solutions announced Thursday that it has completed a $5.5 million expansion of a facility in Philadelphia.
The growth of the 200,000-square-foot site will provide the company with additional clinical packaging and storage capability, Catalent said in a news release. The expansion gives the property, one of the company’s largest sites, 40 percent more pallet space, additional packaging areas and a new label control area.
“The expansion not only allows us to meet the demand for additional capacity to serve large-scale clinical studies today, but also provides the space necessary for future growth,” Albert Quintero, general manager of clinical supply services, said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers at these new facilities.”
