NAI Hanson brokers lease for laundry products maker

NAI James E. Hanson, a New Jersey commercial real estate firm, has brokered a 40,000-square-foot industrial space lease to Handy Laundry in Ramsey, it announced Wednesday.

Kenneth Lundberg, Gary Sauerborn and Patrick Lennon represented the landlord, Yankee Partners LLC, in the deal.

Handy Laundry is a manufacturer and distributor of laundry bags, hampers and household items. Previously based in Rockland County, New York, Handy Laundry said it was looking for a new location with lower real estate taxes and an increased square footage.

50 Spring St. is a 132,389-square-foot, single-story industrial building located directly off Route 17. It is within close proximity to Interstate 287 and Route 202. The building is managed by John Landers and Karen Vincentz.

“We have continued to see an increase in the number of companies looking to secure space in the Upper Bergen County market,” Lundberg said.

“The attractive real estate taxes and comparatively lower leasing rates compared to neighboring submarkets provides companies with an ideal opportunity to relocate if they are looking for a new home. Fortunately, our long history of working in this market enables our team to properly position our clients’ spaces to attract companies looking to relocate and then negotiate long-term leases at a fair market value.”
