Campbell Soup Co. has opened a new family center at its world headquarters in Camden, it announced Thursday.
The facility, known as Campbell’s Family Center, will offer child care to employees.
“Back when I began my career, childcare wasn’t available at many corporations. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to achieve work life integration as a parent,” said Denise Morrison, Campbell’s CEO and president.
“Providing onsite child care is one way we strive to make life easier for Campbell families.”
The new, 17,000-square-foot center houses 13 classrooms, an indoor movement room and a 9,200-square-foot playground. It also includes energy-efficient equipment and high-efficiency water fixtures.
Campbell said it is continuing its partnership with Bright Horizons Family Solutions, an provider of early child education, to operate the facility.
There are currently more than 150 children enrolled in the new center.
The center, Campbell said, complements its employee benefits, including a 10-week parental leave policy, two-week non-primary caregiver policy and adoption assistance.
