Life Time, a fitness and wellness company, held a grand opening ceremony on Monday to celebrate its new, 164,000-square-foot lifestyle resort in Princeton.
“This extraordinary development located in the heart of the Princeton Forrestal Center allows us to provide the community with a comprehensive athletic resort that simply is unmatched,” said Rob Murphy, general manager of Life Time Athletic.
“We are honored to begin serving our members — from our youngest kids to most seasoned adults — with a unique and comprehensive ‘Healthy Way of Life’ experience through our incredible array of health, wellness, nutrition, relaxation and entertainment services and programs.”
Life Time Athletic Princeton, a country club-style athletic fitness, family recreation and spa will feature:
- A 119,000-square-foot building;
- Multiple studios for cycle, large group training, yoga and Pilates;
- More than 400 pieces of cardio- and strength-based equipment;
- A 45,000-square-foot outdoor aquatic area featuring leisure, lap and whirlpools, water slides, a bistro and lounge seating;
- Life Time Kids Academy, a membership program for children aged three months to 11 years;
- LifeCafe, a fast-casual restaurant and outdoor bistro serving health food and beverages;
- LifeSpa, offering hair, nail and skin care services and therapeutic massage;
- Ultimate Hoops, a large recreational basketball league;
- Complementary towers and lockers.
Life Time Athletic Princeton is the company’s 134th location in North America and its fifth New Jersey location, joining Berkeley Heights, Florham Park, Montvale and Mount Laurel.
The club will create approximately 300 new jobs in the area.
There’s also a Bridgewater location set to be completed by late 2018, according to Life Time’s website.
