Mahwah office tech firm embarks on national expansion

GEM Office Technologies, an office tech company based in Mahwah, said Tuesday it plans to open five more offices over the next 24 months as part of a nationwide growth plan.

The first two offices, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and San Jose, California, opened April 1, with additional offices slated for Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami by April 2020.

“Over the past few years, GEM has evolved from a typical office technology provider to a complete one-source, one-solution for all office technology needs, including branding and marketing services, document management, VoIP phone systems and information technology services,” Kevin Dalessandro, CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “We bring a unique proposition that no other company can provide under one umbrella.”

The company said the offices will provide technical sales and service to their respective regions with offerings such as a new suite of services and quick-response mobile information technology labs.

The company also announced it has hired Daniela Panzera Cambareri as vice president of operations, helping it prepare for the growth. She has more than 20 years of industry operations management experience.

“It’s a pleasure to work in an environment where your experience is valued and makes a difference,” she said in a statement.
