Accounting and advisory firm Sax LLP has launched a technology solutions unit, Sax Technology Advisors, the Clifton-based firm announced recently.
The new company will offer solutions including disaster recovery, managed information technology services, cybersecurity and more, Sax said in a news release. It will serve the New Jersey and New York region from Clifton and New York City offices.
“Today’s day-to-day business functions are driven by technology and fueled by data,” Sax Managing Partner Joseph A. Damiano said in a prepared statement. “It behooves our firm and businesses to stay ahead of the curve and not fall behind. Sax always seeks new solutions to add to our arsenal, and we are thrilled to roll out Sax Technology Advisors and provide this vital business component and additional value to those we serve.”
The company will be led by Matthew Hahn, who has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, most recently as a vice president of technology for an undisclosed firm. Hahn founded the firm’s managed IT practice and led it for more than 14 years.
“With an increase in data breaches, from small businesses to powerhouses like Equifax and Yahoo, it is clear external threats are a swelling concern,” he said in a statement. “Businesses now rely heavily on servers and the functionality of hardware to perform operations, and disasters like Superstorm Sandy or heavy-hitting virus infections can bring a business to its knees if not properly prepared or protected.”
Sax Technology Advisors said its services begin with a complimentary, detailed network assessment to provide a benchmark of a client’s existing security. The company’s first webinar will be held May 24 to provide an overview of its services. Click here for more information, or to register.
