Eatontown-based Wayside Technology Group Inc. announced Monday that Simon F. Nynens has resigned as its CEO and president, effective May 11. Nynens also served as direction and chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Steve DeWindt, Wayside’s current lead director, will serve as the interim CEO and president in the meantime.
Nynens will remain available for the next month to assist DeWindt in the transition.
The company also announced its board has elected Jeffrey R. Geygan to serve as chairman of the board.
“The board thanks Mr. Nynens for his leadership, service and commitment to the Company for the past 12 years and wishes him the best in his future endeavors,” Geygan said.
“While a search for Mr. Nynens’ successor is underway, Mr. DeWindt will oversee the transition until the appointment of a new CEO. We are fortunate to have Mr. DeWindt step into a management role as we continue to execute on our strategic initiatives,” Geygan said.
DeWindt has served as a director of Wayside since January 2014. Previously, he served as the executive vice president of Solium Inc. Before that, he was executive chairman and president of OptionEase Inc. Previously, co-founder, CEO and president of Sparxent Inc.
