Citrin Cooperman adds industry veteran to Tax Practice

Citrin Cooperman has added a partner to its Tax Practice, it announced Thursday.

David DiFusco, a CPA with extensive experience at Big Four accounting firms who was most recently New York tax leader at a top accounting, tax and advisory firm, started at Citrin earlier this week.

The 25-year industry veteran will focus on complex income tax matters for high net worth individuals, corporations, trusts and other clients, as well as providing advisory services to law firms on civil or criminal tax implications.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome David to the team,” Citrin’s Tax Practice leader, Joe Bublé, said in a prepared statement. “David is not only a tremendous tax accountant, but also has a great reputation for client service. He’s a wonderful addition to our Tax Practice and I look forward to working with him.”

DiFusco has a Bachelor of Science in economic from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, a Master of Science in taxation from Fordham School of Business and a law degree from Albany Law School.

“I decided to join Citrin Cooperman because of their entrepreneurial nature and focus on teamwork,” he said in a statement. “The firm has created an environment that allows their partners and employees to thrive, and I’m confident I can contribute to their continued growth and success.”
