A Parsippany-based security personnel provider has acquired a Chicago security solutions firm, it announced recently.
SOS Security LLC said in a news release it has purchased Premier and Apex3 Security, expanding into a new market. Premier and Apex3 will continue to operate as sister companies under the SOS Security brand, SOS added.
“Our acquisition strategy is to unite with like-minded companies, such as Premier and Apex3 Security,” SOS Chairman and CEO Edward B. Silverman said in a prepared statement. “This allows us to bring resources and capabilities to critical markets and improve our ability to service our clients.”
The two companies will become part of SOS’ Midwest operations, led by Christina Duffey, senior vice president and regional director of Midwest operations.
“This is an exciting collaboration,” she said in a statement. “Applying our combined talent, resources and domestic and global capabilities will lead to new opportunities for our clients and employees.”
James Taff, CEO of the Premier and Apex3, will join SOS as senior vice president of the company and president of the Illinois region.
