Tinton Falls packaging company buys Mass. firm

Hermetic Solutions Group, a Tinton Falls-based supplier of airtight packaging, components and services, has acquired Sinclair Manufacturing, a maker of glass-to-metal seal components, it announced recently.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

After the deal is complete, Massachusetts-based Sinclair will become part of Hermetic Solutions, the company said in a news release.

“I’ve been a fan of Sinclair for years, and have always believed that putting the two teams together would help better serve our collective customer base,” Hermetic Solutions Chairman Rick Ferraid said in a prepared statement. “This is a significant development for Hermetic Solutions Group to add to our product portfolio one of the most valued suppliers in the industry.

“Sinclair Manufacturing’s engineering and quality capabilities are second to none, and this positions Hermetic Solutions Group with every hermetic product available, to continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

There are no changes planned for what will be Hermetic Solutions’ Sinclair division, outside of synergies in customer support, according to Hermetic Solutions CEO Bill Hubbard.

Hermetic Solutions Group has about 600 employees in eight facilities around the world. It is a portfolio company of ShoreView Industries.
