Prudential promotes two new execs to lead business units

Newark-based Prudential Financial Inc. announced Wednesday that Caroline Feeney has been appointed to head its Individual Solutions Group.

Also, Salene Hitchcock-Gear will now serve as president of Individual Life Insurance.

The appointments take effect on June 15.

Prior to her appointment, Feeney was president of Prudential Individual Life Insurance. She began her career with Prudential in 1993 and has held several leadership roles and home office executive roles, including Eastern Territory vice president and president of Prudential Advisors.

Hitchcock-Gear was previously president of Prudential Advisors. She’s been with the company for 30 years and joined as chief operating officer of Prudential Advisors. She previously served as CEO and president of Ameritas Investment Corp. and Acacia Life Insurance Co.
