Duke Realty Corp.‘s New Jersey office has leased ePort 960, a warehouse in Perth Amboy, it announced Thursday.
The REIT said it acquired the 220,200-square-foot space located at 960 High St. late last year as part of a 3.1 million-square-foot portfolio that included six buildings and two development sites along the Interstate 95 corridor.
Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery has leased the entire building, Duke Realty said, bringing Duke Realty’s New Jersey in-service portfolio to 100 percent occupancy.
“Demand for warehouse space in New Jersey continues to be strong, particularly for modern properties in close proximity to the New York metropolitan area,” said Ben Rosen, vice president of leasing and development. “ePort 960, as well as our other buildings along the I-95 corridor, are among the newest and most functional buildings in the market and perfectly suited for last-mile fulfillment operations. We are pleased that Metropolitan saw the benefits that ePort 960 offers and acted quickly to secure the space.”
ePort 960 is part of the ePort Logistics Center, owned by Duke Realty, just off of Interstate 287 and I-95.
Joseph Nitti of Commercial Real Estate Partners LLC represented Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery in the lease. Duke Realty was represented by Ben Rosen and Caitlin English and its listing agents Thomas Monahan, Stephen D’Amato and Larry Schiffenhaus of CBRE.
Duke Realty currently has two buildings under construction in Northern New Jersey along I-95 which are available for lease. 5 Ethel Boulevard in Carlstadt is a 193,805-square foot building in the heart of the Meadowlands submarket and 429 Delancy Street in Newark is a 661,741-square-foot facility with excellent proximity to New York City, the Port, I-95 and I-78. Both buildings are slated for delivery in early 2019. Parties interested in preleasing are invited to contact Ben Rosen at 201.248.4262.
