Comcast leases Woodbridge site for prototype Xfinity store

Comcast has leased 4,000 square feet at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge, with plans to open an Xfinity retail store at the shopping center, according to Levin Management Corp.

North Plainfield-based Levin is the exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 343,000-square-foot center at the intersection of Routes 1&9 and Route 35. Levin’s E.J. Moawad arranged the leasing, with Jay Miller of CBRE representing the tenant in the transaction.

“We continue to enhance St. Georges Crossing with household-name tenants that reinforce its competitive market position,” Moawad said in a prepared statement. “The outparcel site where this prototype store will be located will be fully renovated inside and out. It offers exposure, access and visibility that is second to none, which played a significant role in attracting Comcast.”

The store, which will front on Route 1 in a freestanding building, will be a new prototype store for the cable and entertainment company. A 3,700-square-foot retail space, the other portion of the building, is available for lease.
