Walters Homes consolidating offices in new LBI property

Walters Homes, a Barnegat-based custom building firm, is consolidating four of its divisions into one office building that it is building in Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island, it announced Wednesday.

The 5,790-square-foot building at 701 Central Ave. will combine a Walters Homes sales office, Walters Realty, Walters Architecture LLC and a design center. It is expected to be completed in summer 2019.

“This will be an ideal location to serve clients looking to build a new home in the Long Beach Island region,” Matthew Gaudet-Walters, a sales associate, said in a prepared statement. “Each of our four divisions offers unique resources to assist clients, including sales, design guidance, land acquisition, teardown opportunities, as well as mortgage and title insurance services. Our aim is to offer an enhanced experience by providing a full range of services.”

The property will be Walters Homes’ second sales office. It currently maintains a sales office in Manahawkin and its corporate offices in Barnegat. Walters added its realty and architecture units last year, it added.

Walters Homes will occupy 4,730 square feet of the new property, with the remaining 1,060 square feet leased to an undisclosed restaurant entity, it said.

The company is also planning another office site in Ortley Beach, with the project currently in the design phase.

Walters Architecture is designing both offices.
