Wayne-based Valley National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Valley National Bancorp, announced Monday it has appointed Christopher J. Coiley the new head of the Commercial Real Estate Department.
Coiley joined Valley in 1990 as part of the bank’s management training program. After he completed the program, he worked in the Commercial Lending Group before joining the Commercial Real Estate Group. Coiley managed a real estate team in New Jersey before his appointment as the New York Commercial Real Estate Division head six years ago.
In his new role, he will be responsible for managing all commercial mortgage relationships in the New Jersey and New York markets.
“Chris has a proven record of producing outstanding results for Valley in the commercial real estate space,” said Thomas Iadanza, senior executive vice president. “Given his impressive track record, this promotion to Department Head is a natural progression for Chris. As a hands-on lender and leader, his knowledge of both the New York and New Jersey markets will support the continued growth of the Bank and serve its clientele accordingly.”
