SmartAsset, a New York-based financial technology company, released a study identifying the Top 10 New Jersey communities where people have access to the best 401(k) benefits plan.
The study compared employer contributions against total contributions as well as retirement plan investment performance and administrative fees in each city.
The Top 10 New Jersey towns with their 401(k) index score are:
- Succasunna, 94.25;
- Hightstown, 87.51;
- Pleasantville, 84.69;
- Haddon Heights, 81.58;
- Kendall Park, 80.35;
- Millville, 77.15;
- Florham Park, 75.53;
- Englewood Cliffs 75.52;
- Hackensack, 74.85;
- Bridgeton, 74.46.
