Downtown Newark just opened its newest convenience store, Krauszer’s, at the newly-renovated 494 Broad St. office and business complex, the city announced recently.
“The City of Newark is so pleased to welcome this Krauszer’s location to our downtown, as we continue to move forward on the redevelopment of the Washington Park and Broad Street Station community,” said Mayor Ras Baraka. “We thank the Fidelco Realty Group for being an ongoing partner in the transformation of this section of the City.”
The City of the Newark was joined by Marc E. Berson, Fidelco Group chairman and Jagat Parikh, owner/manager of the new store, to celebrate the grand opening.
The Krauszer’s will offer customers a selection of sandwiches, beverages and snacks. The property is located within close proximity to the Rutgers Business School and Audible’s Newark headquarters.
The property, which is owned and managed by The Fidelco Realty Group, has tenants including Genova Burns, Cablevision, Barcade, Allen Kohan, APALA NJ, Fidelco Newark, KS Engineers, Rutgers University and more.
“494 Broad Street is an integral part of the ongoing growth and vitality of the Washington Park business district, as well as the nearby Broad Street Station area. This Krauszer’s location is another part of the ongoing commitment to not just improve the area, but also to serve the needs of the people that live, work and learn in this bustling part of Newark,” said Mr. Berson.
This is the fifth Krauszer’s in Newark for Parikh, the owner/manager of the new location.
“As Newark continues to grow in its role as a regional hub for business in coming years, it is vital that the community has easy and convenient access to retail and a variety of food options,” Parikh said. “The strategic location of this store helps us meet the business and education community’s demand for quick access to quality food, beverages and snacks for people on the go.”
