Lyndhurst-based Vitals, a health care savings company, announced Tuesday that Robert Benedetto has been named senior vice president, client engagement.
Benedetto will be responsible for heading the engagement team that works closely with clients to optimize Vitals’ SmartShopper program. The SmartShopper program is a digital engagement and health care incentive program that has saved employers over $55 million in health care costs.
Before Vitals, Benedetto was the director of sales and account management at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield New Hampshire. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
“Bob not only has a deep understanding of the SmartShopper program, he also knows what it takes to lead a high-performing client engagement team that actively engages with employers to drive engagement, savings, and reduce claims costs,” said Kyle Raffaniello, chief strategy and enterprise marketing officer at Vitals.
“Engagement is the key to changing behavior and turning employees into activated consumers that are managing and controlling their health care costs,” Benedetto said. “I’m excited to promote a platform that not only represents real cost savings for employers, but also supports employees and provides an avenue for them to counter the rising cost of their medical care.”
