Rochelle Park-based ORBCOMM Inc., a provider of M2M and IoT solutions, announced it has appointed Michael W. Ford as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 4.
Ford, who has more than 30 years of experience in the financial sector, will be responsible for overseeing the company’s finances.
Prior to ORBCOMM, Ford was executive vice president of commercial lending for Emigrant Savings Bank. Before that, he spent 13 years with Tyco International where he held a variety of roles at its subsidiaries including vice president of operations for Tyco Fire Products; global chief financial officer for ADT Security; president of Tyco Integrated Service for Europe, Middle East and Africa; chief financial officer for Tyco SimplexGrinnell; and chief financial officer for Tyco Integrated Fire and Security.
He also spent 13 years at Ryder Systems Inc. and held several management roles in finance, including European finance director.
