Columbia Bank gets new EVP, head of consumer banking

Columbia Financial Inc. announced Tuesday that Allyson Schlesinger has been appointed as executive vice president, head of consumer banking for Fair Lawn-based Columbia Bank.

Columbia Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbia Financial.

Schlesinger will be responsible for retail banking, retail lending, wealth management and marketing divisions at the bank.

Prior to Columbia Bank, she was at Citigroup Inc. for 25 years, most recently as managing director, U.S. retail and division manager for Citi’s New York City and New Jersey markets.

“Allyson brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse skill set to her new role,” Thomas J. Kemly, CEO and president, said.  “We are confident her experience is strategically aligned with the future growth of the Bank.”
