Specialty contractor moving from Waldwick to Fairfield

Groome Industrial Service Group Inc., a specialty contractor, is moving from Waldwick to Fairfield, according to real estate firm Charity Realty International.

Groome and its subsidiary Groome Door & Mechanical Systems will both have a new home in a 22,000-square-foot property at 22 Audrey Place that will house offices, warehousing and training facilities. The property is owned by Salvatore Frassetto.

“It checked all the boxes: a professionally managed, first-class facility with easy highway access and both drive-in and tailboard loading, 22-foot clear ceilings, on an oversized lot, with enough HVAC and finished space to accommodate the client’s needs, in an employee-centric location,” James Costanzo, president of Charity Realty International, said in a prepared statement.

Costanzo exclusively represented Groome in the transaction.

“We’ve grown at such a pace over the last 10 years that our existing spaces in Waldwick simply could not hold us any longer,” Josh Hankes, president of Groome Industrial Service Group, said in a statement. “Our new home gives us everything we need, including room for future growth.”

As a result of the transaction, Charity Realty presented a total $6,000 grant to four nonprofit organizations.
