Puratos expands, relocates U.S. HQ to Pennsauken

The Puratos Group, which offers innovative food products, raw ingredients and application expertise to the bakery, patisseries and chocolate sectors, has expanded — and relocated — within New Jersey.

”Helping our customers be even more successful with their businesses is behind our continuing expansion here in the United States,” Daniel Malcorps, CEO of the Puratos Group, said to BakingBusiness.com.

Previously located in Cherry Hill, the Belgium-based company recently relocated its U.S. headquarters, management, sales, marketing and technical teams to a 23,700-square-foot facility in Pennsauken, in part due to a $10 million investment.

The Pennsauken expansion includes an Innovation Center, of which the company has 82 around the world, where customers can access state-of-the-art baking industry equipment, training, expertise and research into international food trends.

“With this new Innovation Center, we want to inspire our customers with better ideas based on consumer expectations, support them in the development of their products and help them solve technical challenges,” Malcorps said. “We are dedicated to anticipating and responding to consumer changes and their evolving expectations through a process of constant innovation. Thus, innovation is at the heart of everything Puratos does.”

The Puratos Group was founded in 1919 to cater to international customers such as artisan chefs, industrial manufacturers, supermarkets and food service companies.

Today, the company employs 8,780 worldwide, has 64 production units in 46 countries and subsidiaries in 70 countries, and makes available its products and services in more than 100 countries.
