Real Endpoints, a Madison-based analytics and advisory firm for the pharmaceutical sector, has named a new CEO, it announced recently.
Jeff Berkowitz, a 20-year industry veteran of such companies as UnitedHealth Group, Walgreens, Merck and Schering-Plough, has joined the company as both chief executive and a member of the board of directors.
“The seismic shifts in public policy, pricing, reimbursement and market access create enormous strategic challenges for biotech, pharma, payers, distributors and another key health care stakeholders,” he said in a prepared statement. “Roger Longman and Norman Selby founded Real Endpoints to deliver practical solutions for achieving better patient outcomes and higher health care system value. RE today has established itself as a leader in this effort.”
Berkowitz most recently was an executive vice president with UnitedHealth Group, serving as CEO of its Optum International business and a leader of OptumRx, its pharmacy benefits manager.
